At Mills Meats, our business is built on a passion for family, food, and community. 

Our story began with the influence of Uncle Tuan Nguyen, one of the original 3 industry pioneers in Chicago Vietnamese restaurants. Uncle Tuan lead an astounding 40-year career serving the local and Vietnamese community. He taught me the importance of treating everyone like family. That is why he is beloved by all of his former students, including Hai Ho. 

 

It was Uncle Tuan who introduced me to Hai Ho, Chef-Owner of Pho Chu Hai in Glendale Heights, IL. Hai was our first customer. Over many shared meals and drinks, Hai became like a big brother to me. His talent as a chef and his friendship proved invaluable as he referred some of his fellow Chef-Owner friends who became our customers too. Since then, we have been fortunate to serve and grow with many families in Illinois.

 

My love of Vietnamese culture and cuisine has brought me great pleasure as I have learned many valuable lessons. This includes the deep meaning of enjoying a wonderful meal with friends and family. I believe that food does not just sustain us but also brings joy, laughter, and comfort to friends and loved ones.
